What’s up with the series?

There's been talk.

Rumors on the blogs, gossip on the social media sites, speculations sprinkled within reviews. A rush of conjecture that the Balum series is over. That Ira Dale is over. Done, kaput, finis.

It's no wonder; I haven't published since November of 2019. So let's set it straight (and hopefully brighten up your day). Neither is over. Ira Dale only has one book left to go, the third, and the trilogy will finish. That final book is still in its conceptualization phase. I anticipate a release date somewhere around summer of 2021.

As for Balum, don't you worry, I have loads more books planned. That's right, loads.

The next book in the series, number 9, is due to come out sometime around the end of this year, or early 2021. I'm currently researching material for it.

What's taking so long?

For one, I spent most of the first half of this year working on a mammoth manuscript, the first book in a Weird West trilogy which I plan to release this winter.

Second, I've been a slave to the farm all summer. I spend four months out of every year in Michigan, working on my family blueberry farm. I put in between 80-100 hours a week, and that means absolutely no time for writing. This year's season just came to a close. I've eaten more blueberries than my stomach can handle, and in a few weeks I'll be back in California in front of the keyboard, working hard in a very different fashion.

So hold tight, the books are coming.
