New Book Covers!

I designed and illustrated the original first two book covers for the Ira Dale Series myself. I knew they were basic, knew they didn't fit the look that most people expected from a Western, but I thought they were just unique enough to pop.

I was wrong.

Feedback from friends, even feedback from reviewers told me that I needed to do something about it. Enter Steve Rodgers. Steve is one of the most talented artists I've ever known. He illustrated the cover for the first in the AlbaMar Trilogy and he's slated to do the next two books as well. Steve's art has been showcased in galleries all across California. He's a painter, a woodworker, a crafter of miniatures and, on top of all that, a HUGE Western fan. When I asked him if he'd be interested in re-doing the covers for the Ira Dale Series, he jumped at it. What he came up with is absolutely amazing. In fact, the new cover for A Bounty on Ira Dale might just be my favorite cover of all time.
